STRUKTUR TROFIK IKAN KARANG DAN HUBUNGANNYA DENGAN KONDISI SUBSTRAT DASAR PERAIRAN DI SELAT SEMPU, INDONESIA

Abstract

Ikan karang merupakan salah satu komponen biotik yang menjadi tolak ukur kondisi keanekaragaman hayati di ekosistem terumbu karang. Perubahan kondisi dasar perairan yang disebabkan baik oleh aktivitas alami maupun antropogenik mampu mengubah kondisi kelimpahan dan keragaman ikan karang yang ada di suatu wilayah. Begitu juga dengan perubahan kelimpahan ikan karang yang dapat berdampak pada penurunan kualitas ekosistem itu sendiri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai kondisi tingkatan trofik ikan karang  dan hubungannya dengan kondisi dasar perairan di Selat Sempu. Pengambilan data dilaksanakan di Selat Sempu pada Bulan November 2019 pada tiga stasiun menggunakan metode Roving Diver Technique (RDT). Hasil penelitian menemukan 721 individu ikan karang dari 76 spesies dan 25 famili, dimana famili Chaetodontidae, Pomacentridae, dan Labridae yang merupakan famili dengan kelimpahan spesies tertinggi. Stasiun Tiga Warna memiliki tutupan karang hidup tertinggi, yang berhubungan dengan kelimpahan ikan corallivore yang tinggi. Meski demikian, korelasi antara tutupan karang keras dan ikan corallivore menunjukkan hubungan yang lemah (R2=0,2045). Sementara korelasi antara kelimpahan ikan herbivore dan tutupan karang dengan alga menunjukkan korelasi yang kuat (R2=0,9843). Dengan demikian, diketahui bahwa keragaman tutupan dasar perairan memiliki pengaruh terhadap kelimpahan tingkat trofik ikan karang tertentu di suatu wilayah.
